Summer To-Do List

Finally summer is here in Canada and I can't believe how relieved I am. Now that school is out I have time to do the things I have kept putting off during the busy winter months and I'm beyond excited. Some of these things require actually leaving my house though so we'll see how that turns out... But, anyway I have so many little random project that I have been slowly working on and goals that I have set for this summer and I feel so productive! As a procrastinator though it is easy to just end up scrolling through tumblr, reading blogs, and watching youtube videos from 9am-2am the next morning... Although my first little project does have to do with scrolling tumblr for hours and hours...

I know that it may seem like I'm just trying to put off everything by scrolling though tumblr for hours on end but I'm actually collecting photo's that I am going to put up on my wall behind my bed. I have been working on this for what seems like a year but really its only been a few days. I can't wait to get the pictures up because I have just had this empty wall staring me in the face since I renovated my room 3 YEARS ago when I was a freshman. I'm just getting a bit bored with my room and I really want to change it up a bit.

The next goal (I guess you could call it) I have is to learn guitar and re-learn how to play piano. I played piano when I was younger and was quite good but I had to quit because I was getting to busy as I got older. I regret quitting so much because I appreciate music so much more now and wish I could play beautifully like some of my friends can. Also, I got a guitar for my graduation present and it has just been sitting in the corner ever since I got it. Sure I'll pick it up every once in a while learn a couple cords and actually really enjoy it. But then all of a sudden a huge wave of stuff will hit me and I'll have no time to play. So now that I have time I have been playing and hopefully I can be kind of decent by the end of summer!

You can't make a to-do/goals post without mentioning exercise and healthy eating am I right or am I right? I know this is very basic of me but really I feel like I really need to start exercising more and eating healthier. Exams always cause me major stress and that also means eating... ALOT. Which is not a good thing especially  with summer having already arrived. So, I have been trying to exercise 4 times a week (not including my dance rehearsals) and cutting out the junk food, which surprisingly  isn't that hard if you just don't buy it and keep it out of your pantry.

Now this goal will be the toughest for me. To get out, do stuff with friends, and be happy. As a country kid it does get kind of difficult to go places because it is hard to either borrow a vehicle or get a ride from a parent. I have always envied the people that can just walk to their friends houses or bike because it's just so easy for them to be with their friends and have adventures. While I seem to be cooped up in my room on my laptop all day. I know this is mostly my fault though because I don't make much of an effort to meet up with friends so I need to make a change. I need to stop rejecting friends and saying "I'm busy" when in reality I'm just busy eating and watching Netflix because I'm feeling down that day but that seems to be happening more and more lately. So, I have realized that choosing to leave my house and do something even if I don't want to will end up boosting my overall happiness and I will spend less nights staring at the ceiling feeling sorry for myself. With that said, I am excited to get rolling and be productive with my summer and I hope you are too!

June Favourites!

Hello everyone, finally the stress of exams is over and summer has begun! As a procrastinator exams just do not sit well with me, as they don't many people. Come on who actually likes exams? No one. So, I am beyond happy to be able to just chill out this summer and maybe actually go out side, read a book (many books), and socialize! I honestly feel like I have not got together with friends in centuries and I miss human contact haha! I have so many things I want to get done and I can't wait to get started on all of it. I am also ready to get back into the swing of things with my blog and you can expect a post once  or twice a week. So, as this month of exams has now passed I thought I'd let you guys now some of my favourite things.

Skincare: Jergens Natural Glow + Firming Daily Moisturizer
$8.49
This stuff is my crack. I love it so much and it really does give you some colour. As an internet addict and book nerd I don't really go outside for the sole purpose of tanning. I just get so bored sitting doing nothing so the fact that I can get a bit of colour without actually making an effort to go outside is wonderful. It also doesn't make you orange which is never pretty... A lot of self tanners and tanning creams smell terrible, but this actually smells really good and it is not strong at all.

Beauty: NYX Bronzer Daydream in Molokai
$16.99
During June I really didn't wear much make-up since I was just studying the whole month. So, when I went to school all I would wear is concealer, bronzer, and mascara. This bronzer once again helped me look like I went outside when actually I was locked up in my room shoving information into my brain. I have always had shimmery bronzer and I have always kind of stayed away and avoided matte bronzer but I finally bought one and I clearly LOVE it. It is the perfect colour for my skin and it isn't orange at all. If you are considering trying out a matte bronzer I would definitely recommend this one.

Haircare: Bumble and bumble Surf Spray
$26.00
Oh. My. Gosh. This stuff is unreal. I have been hearing about it forever but never believed the hype and I could never bring myself to buy it since it is quite expensive. But, I am so ridiculously happy I did finally buy it. I have been using it everyday and I am addicted. I normally don't have wavy hair at all since my hair is just very thin, flat, and straight. But, oh baby this makes my hair unbelievably voluminous and wavy and I'm just in love. I just use it right when I get out of the shower and I blow dry my hair with a diffuser and bam my hair is fierce as can be. I could actually just rave about this stuff all day but lets move on.

Food: Rice Dream Chocolate Marble Fudge
So lately, I have been eating vegan and being addicted to ice cream I needed to find a replacement as soon as possible. This is a dairy free ice cream and it taste surprisingly like ice cream. You honestly would not know the difference if you compared it to actual ice cream. It's just that good and it is also very low on calories and is only 150 calories for half of the entire carton. Which kind of blows my mind and I also don't half to feel like a cow when I end up eating all of it in one sitting...

Random: One Tree Hill
Okay, we all know this is everyone's all time favourite show and this just adds to the fact that I am a common white girl. I've accepted it and I embrace it. I have recently been rewatching the entire series and I forgot how good it is! Plus, Chad Michael Murray is not exactly hard to look at if you know what I'm sayin. The plot lines are just so good and oh man all the feels are just flooding back. Although, I don't understand why everyone hates Peyton! She is my favourite on the show, I love her! That could just be because of her wonderful taste in music but hey it is impeccable.
